Title: Conveyancing Executive/Licensed Conveyancer

Status: Full-time

Location: Hucclecote Office, Gloucester


Dee and Griffin Solicitors are looking for a conveyancing executive who would be responsible for providing legal assistance and working with our clients. Our firm is known for the friendly atmosphere within their team and our dedication to the promotion of a work life balance therefore we believe this is an excellent opportunity to join us as not only a well-respected firm in the local area but also offering the opportunity to be part of a growing department with long term prospects.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Preparing freehold and leasehold contract reports within your technical abilities
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and the Conveyancing Protocol, the firm’s policies, practices and procedures; legislation applicable to the profession and to any relevant quality standards
  • Through training and other means, to keep fully up to date with relevant legislation and practice
  • Review title and raise enquiries
  • Issuing Sale Contract Packs
  • Preparing Search Reports
  • Preparing Mortgage Reports
  • Preparing Draft Completion Statements
  • Carry out the exchange process and prepare the file for completion
  • Preparing SDLT and Land Registry Application and deal with any requisitions raised.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong inter-personal skills, able to deal with all levels within an organisation and relieve potential conflicts.
  • A client focused approach to service delivery,
  • Ability to organise your workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong experience in using Microsoft office tools – Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Strong experience using Case Management Systems
  • At least 3 years’ experience managing own property caseload from instructions to completion and registration
  • Raising, checking and responding to additional enquiries within your technical abilities and experience
  • Signing off AML checks and Customer Due Diligence
  • Working knowledge of the CQS Protocol, Conveyancing Association Protocol and CML Handbook
  • Experience of sales, purchase, freehold, leasehold, remortgage, transfer of equity, equity release, new build and unregistered property

We expect our conveyancers to protect our clients’ interests at all times and take precautions against potential fraud and money laundering.
